THE DOLL HOUSE BOOK

Although this is being issued through the publisher's juvenile department, and is not beyond the reading or mechanical skills of this age level, this book is the sort that adult hobbyists will find most useful. It is a very complete discussion of adapting various containers to dollhouses. Suggested materials and the necessary prior planning are clearly outlined. The most useful part of the book is the big selection of miniature furniture patterns. The author, the wife of designer Norman Worrell, like her potential audience, collected this hard-to-find information after being appalled at the cost of the better ready-made doll houses and furnishings. Group leaders in search of special projects will find a fund of information in this generously illustrated pattern and guide book.
