The author of Secretaries Who Succeed (report, p. 298, June 1, 1947 bulletin) comes to the aid of all good and would-be-good office workers of the feminine gender in a hopeful and helpful ""how-to"" book. She discusses the techniques for adjusting attitudes and developing personality traits that lead to satisfaction and success in one's job, stressing job aims and possibilities achieved through the office workers's own initiative, tact, accuracy, cooperation. She points out the place of the machine in helping the person grow; the necessity for good relations with colleagues as well as the ""boss""; the problems and potentialities of the mature woman in office work. Like her other book, this calls for personality and attitude growth, which means discipline and willingness to adjust. Workable.
