KIRKUS REVIEW

Theresa Kalab has made the pictures for this story, too, and shows a mastery of quite a different technique. Doodle, Dawdle and Dumpty were three naughty chipmunks, who were constantly compared to rabbits for their lack of wisdom. But the time came when the rabbits proved themselves much smarter than the little chipmunks. Nature story with an original twist. Esther Wood has a good sense of plot in simple form. Remember her Relinda Blue and Peppes Moon.
