The primary purpose of this book is to indicate paths of special use of music with children who are mental cases. Actually, it should be of almost equal interest of those interested to the pedagogical angle, whatever the status of the young pupils. Matter of fact, common-sense handling of the place of music in education, how to create an interest in music, how to teach appreciation and interpretation, how to use music as a corrective agent as well as a creative one. Miss Stinson is head of the music department in the Woods Schools, and this book is the outgrowth of work in the Chill Research Clinic.
