ALL FOR FALL by Ethel Kessler

ALL FOR FALL

A pale, almost lackadaisical evocation of the colors of fall: green at first, then purple (shadows, flowers, hills and jelly), varied and changing colors on the trees, black and orange on Halloween, brown for nuts and leaves and late grass, then gray as the days grow shorter. As in Splish Splash and Slush Slush (both KR, 1973), more happy kids with smiley faces jog through the season, in easy to read, sometimes rhyming, blandly pleasant words and blurry watercolors that similarly disregard the nip in the autumn air.
