Several introductory religious books for young readers have been done by the author (see Stories of Jesus and Picture Book of Palestine) and these stories of Abraham's line have a sturdiness in their retelling. Briefly they follow through the genealogy- Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph and Moscs, focussing on the important events and journeys in the life of each and Kurt Wiese's pastel colored pictures lend an added concreteness. Good.
