YOUR BUDGET IN WARTIME by Ethel Laney

YOUR BUDGET IN WARTIME

By

Publisher: Tower Books

A ""budget editor"" of the Cleveland Plain Dealer makes budget making tantalizingly challenging. I found myself thinking -- ""does it really work out this way -- guess I'd better revamp my budget"". For Ethel Laney takes into consideration all the new factors, -withholding taxes, ten per cent for war savings, imperative necessity of planning for the lean years after the war, importance of holding expanding incomes to the line, and stretching shrinking incomes to the limit. She has presented the basic principles, indicated by simple definition what her breakdowns mean (too often an omission on the part of people who make other people's budgets), and then has proceeded to analyse 45 budgets, for incomes ranging from $100 a month to $500, and for families from a single woman living at home to two adults and four children (not advised on the $100 a month income!) ""A practical guide to living within your income"". A handbook that should be a useful one to many types of customers. Ring binding.
