KIRKUS REVIEW

The author of the excellent college story The Scariet Bird continues to tell of happenings at the University of Hawaii, this time the search for an Indian prince who is attending the University incognito. Hawaiian Mele and Japanese-American Suki are intrigued by the idea and enlist the aid of Mele's brother and his friends to learn the prince's identity. Their sleuthing runs through two school entertainments, various local parties and customs, and eventually a tidal wave before their mystery man is unmasked. More of racial relations here and a colorful picture of South Seas collegiate life.
