KIRKUS REVIEW

The facts here are assembled logically from first event to last. However, the choppy sentences and generally uninspired prose make the text only bleakly informative. The authors give an account of both the Mayflower voyage and of the pilgrims' flight from England to Holland. The illustrations by Leonard E. Fisher are heavy-handed and stiff; some are in black and white, some in orange, brown, and white against greyish purple, colors shunned by early New Englanders.
