At first you might suspect that Donald Westlake is coming right at you, what with the very verbal exchanges and the novelty techniques which are used in the attempt to murder Trapp -- such as a rusty thumbtack and a live wood tick. But before long it appears that the problem is hardly classique, the dialogue is overly cute, and the only thing that you really wonder about is who's going to pick up the chit for all that chat.
