KIRKUS REVIEW

An important book for business libraries and reference shelves in banking and brokerage offices. Certainly not a book for light reading, even by the man interested in international finance. This is a pretty thorough history of the trend and development of private investments in foreign lands, of its part in creating and sustaining wars, of its part in diplomacy, of the relation of governments to private investors, of the chief examples the world over. There is no section into which the problems of the private investor in foreign business and industry has not gone.
