A BEE IN HER BONNET

Contemporary American farm life background for a nice story of 12-year-old Mary Corel Magee's experiences on a farm in Nebraska. She hadn't wanted to leave her adored six-feet brother David behind in Detroit, but once out on the farm her father had inherited she learns to love and care for all the farm animals, she rides a pony of her own, she raises bees and ""eekleberrise"" (eggs), and she learns of the customs and legends of the Swedish homelands of the people around her. Girls will thoroughly enjoy this ""might-be-true"" story. Helen Sewell pictures.
