TAK-TAK THE DACHSHUND

Colyann, who studied with and is considered the successor to the late, great animal photographer, Ylla, has captured the day and play of a dachshund puppy and a punky little kitten. Their maneuverings in an old attic, earthbound dog and bounding cat, are caught in the essential moment with subsequent action implied. The large black and white photographs are distinguished. The text is not. The short dialogue lines between Tak-Tak, the pup, and Piloucha, the cat, serve only to recreate the pictures in print. If they do not please, at least they will not tax young readers.
