KIRKUS REVIEW

For that great middle group- somewhere between the disturbed and the satisfied, this is commonsense counseling which covers some of the obstructive factors in sexual relationships- many residual from childhood or adolescence. The cause of tension intension are many- from ignorance, fear and misinformation, to fatigue, worry, fear of pregnancy, lack of communication. The physiology of sex; infertility; childbirth- before and after; frigidity; the divorcee or the widow; the menopause; and sex in the later years are all aspects considered and explored- as well as the advisability of counseling and where it may be secured for those more deeply distressed. Chiefly for an uninitiated audience, this makes available advice on a component of marriage which a great many people are still unable to handle or are unwilling to discuss.
