KIRKUS REVIEW

This is not a beltline Western, but a handling, in Zane Grey tradition of the do-and-re-generation of a bold character. An Easterner insults a Comanche Chief, is kidnapped and sold into slavery in Mexico where work in the mines develops his brawn and his brain. He escapes with a bandit chief -- and eventually has to choose between a career as a bandit and return to his own country.... A larger than life character, in a solid fare Western.
