KIRKUS REVIEW

Beginning with how mommies work in the home to keep baby happy and comfortable, this goes on to portray the many different outside roles many different mommies fill in the wide world away from home. There are mommies who are teachers, dancers, office workers, doctors, cashiers, etc., etc., but each one comes home at the end of the day to fill that one role young listeners know best. An excellent original conception, designed to provide understanding of career mothers for their very young offspring, becomes dissipated in Beni Montresor's overly detailed, crowded illustrations that create a hazy rather than pointed impression.
