TORTOISE AND TURTLE ABROAD

This is a helping of pleasurable nonsense for young, old and middle-aged children, who delight in the sound, shape and meaning of words. Tortoise and Turtle--in fact a forest full- become involved in the various words that mean ""to go"", and they do (crossing water means ""abroad"") in an afternoon jaunt that has them home by evening having seen the whole world. The animal conversation is abrupt, pointed and has a touch of madness to ticket the word taster.
