KIRKUS REVIEW

The murders here, if that's what they are, take place close to a scientific laboratory -- one hanged, one mummified, and one other buried (?) in a rockery. Two other men, their absentee wives, a brother and sister, a daughter, seem to narrow the possibilities which Miss Ferrars moves around like furniture -- nothing stays put. Still you know where you are even if you can't possibly anticipate the next alternative -- that English comfortable familiarity makes it a pleasant plus.
