KIRKUS REVIEW

Martha, a maternal type who works for a Guild for Unmarried Mothers, takes two of them into her home in a small British town only to find that their condition is the least of it and that her good deeds are snuffed out in a succession of gunfire, jewel robbery and murder. Not this writer's best and even your intellectual butterball will find it skittish.
