KIRKUS REVIEW

Professor of human relations at M.I.T. re-interprets human behaviour with new focuses and terminology. Desire, conscience and wisdom are his three cardinals; desires, either physical or psychological, which are instinctive; conscience which is indoctrinated; and wisdom which can integrate the two forces and in so doing produce a well-balanced person. Sublimations, escapes, frustrations, aggressions explained as the products of these factors. Basically, nothing new -- but designed for the layman.
