A textbook on the new type of warfare, written by a Czechoslovakian officer who has fought on several of the freedom battlefronts and who presents, for the military expert, the ""principal questions of modern tactical science"". With Spain the laboratory, with France the proving ground, the vital points of Hitler's warfare are discussed:- offense, with surprise, speed and superiority as its cardinal points; the various weapons and tactics of offense; the thrust and pocket tactics, infiltration, transport problems, use of the air arm, the panzer division, combat teams, artillery. Defense, with depth as its weapon of greatest power, islands of resistance, web defense, counter-attack. The translator, an English officer, calls this the first ""complete book on the Nazi type of warfare"".
