Definitely a book for people interested in the technical and professional aspects of raising dogs -- not for the individual dog lover. A fairly technical account of experiments on dog's reactions, including instincts, feelings, sense perceptions, smell, tracking, hearing, seeking -- and winding up with the dog's inner life! Diagrams and photographs. Its one amateur application is for the dog owner who delights in teaching tricks -- this will/show him what a dog can learn and how much. Very limited market.
