ATOMS AND ENERGY

Pub Date: May 26th, 1961

The author has kept her information within the understanding of the science minded teenager. Her vivid explanatory illustrations often relate admirably to one's everyday experience. Thus an extremely simple experiment can be performed in order to grasp a complex theory. After a discussion of the ultimate source of all energy, the Sun, the author goes on to define the atom and to analyze it in terms of many other relating elements. How man has made use of it and the possibilities for future peacetime applications concern us in the final sections of the book. A well-rounded presentation that should estimably complement any science library.
