NICE PEOPLE DON'T KILL

Young widow Ames, a-summering , finds her new tenant letting her in for plenty of trouble by getting himself murdered. The ensuing investigation unearths motive involving her best friends, and the local sleuth is hard out to keep her out of further hazards. Another deader -- a third attempt -- and Mrs. Amea playing favorites, all confuse the issue. A faked play achieves its end, and it is all straightened out. Likable -- in the chatty tradition of mystery romance.
