RADIO ASTRONOMY FOR AMATEURS

This is a ""double basic"" book. It provides an introduction to electronics for those whose interest in astronomy has led them to the point where the radio telescope beckons. At the same time, the fundamentals of astronomic observation are here for those approaching the interest from a background in electronics. Starting with a concise history of radio astronomy, the author then deals briskly with the basics of astronomy and electronics, especially as they relate to each other in terms of equipment. The illustrations are photographs, line drawings and circuit diagrams. The glossary has been carefully made and the bibliography has been put together from recent and available titles. This is the kind of a book that only a few people will want every once in a while, but when they want it, it will probably be just the ticket.
