You're back in the Connecticut town of some of the earlier novels and even if a line like ""wow, is she ever stacked"" may surprise you, it hasn't changed all that much when you realize that the referral is filling out one of those ""frocks"" you probably left behind at some Oxfam years ago. Anyway -- this is mostly about Stacy whose first marriage ended in divorce and who comes there to continue as an artist (also doing dust jackets for gothics) and Vanessa, her elderly eccentric neighbor, and Elaine, a very acquisitive widow, and above all Lee, an architect. A certainty for those who will find time and the hour -- all it takes really.
