Romantic reverses for Jenny, as she becomes secretary to handsome, married in name only, Justice Hathaway, and as she makes a play for him to divert his interest from her sister. Ede, whose husband is overseas. Justice responds, while Steve, the boy she'd planned to marry, is invalided home and directs his interests toward Justice's sister Mary. The death of Steve's father helps to straighten him out; Steve collects evidence against the Hathaways -- and at the close Justice Hathaway is reunited with his wife, and Steve with his Jenny. Modern toned variations on that old sweet story, practised and pleasant. Serialized in Woman's Home Companion.
