FREIGHTER HOLIDAY

To any who has taken to vagdage by reighter, this record of four weeks one of the smaller Aluminum ine freighters, bound from New Orleans to the Caribbean and South American poets, will prove nostalgic reading. The life on the freighter the intimate but always informally casual -- relationship with officers crew and other passengers. The adventures ashore, seeking to absorb the atmosphere of successive tropi islands in brief space of time, -- Jamaica, Guadeloupe, Martin. hadoes, -- and the British and Dutch Guiana -- good travel material, simply told, with attempt to be ""literary"", no attempt to be instructive -- simply a shared enthusiasm, a tagion of enjoyment. Here's to more vagabonds.
