NEW ENGLAND HURRICANE

This is a factual pictorial record of the recent catastrophe. Its interest will probably be largely New England, New York and New Jersey, since those were the sections affected, but there may be some general interest, in the same way that Mississippi flood picture books interested other sections of the country. There are some fine pictures included, some that, in reproduction at any rate seem mediocre. Unfortunately -- perhaps necessarily -- the whole job shows on the surface that it was rushed through, and available material used without much record to the artistic value. The reproduction process has resulted in dulled tones, off black.
