The members of the Deakens family had no reason to suspect Recee Morley the day he came up to the ranch with news that Mr. Deakens had been killed on a routine cattle run. But when the Mr. Morley worms his way into the Deakens' household by marrying sister Chelly, Johnny Deakens finds his home too unbearable. Equipped with Grandfather Deakens' map of a gold cave, Johnny escapes with the help of Big Wes and an Indian friend, Billy Crow. Harassed by Morley and his cohorts, Johnny embarks on a trail which leads to far more valuable treasure --proof that Recee Morley shot his father -- and, more important, to his father himself. Wounded critically but not fatally, Mr. Deakens had been back to health by Eilly Crow's tribe and in return had offered his promise to keep the hidden Indian cave a solemn secret. Intriguing cloak and dagger fare set in the Old West for the gun `Latin' crowd.
