THE UNDERCOVER SLOOP

The sloop, Sirena, its owners Don and Jeff, and the coast off California and Mexico provide the characters and background for this tale of smuggling, murder, and mayhem. Don and Jeff, both eighteen, and their young American-Mexican friend, Dedo, are hired by smugglers to bring dope into this country from Mexico by some fairly ingenious methods. With the help of the Government, Dedo's working knowledge in TV techniques of foiling gangsters, and the clear thinking of Don and Jeff, the plot is uncovered and the culprits apprehended. There is suspense, excitement, and thrills, plus likable and natural characters in this book that will appeal to all sailing buffs and boys in the middle and upper teen bracket.
