ALL ABOUT THE SEA

A splendid portrait of our watery surroundings and the life it contains. It covers much of the same material as Mr. Lane's former study- The Mysterious Sea (Doubleday, 1947), published as an adult book but later reported in the young adult's section and- we feel- probably more satisfying to avid young interests. But there are virtues to this new one- its clarity, completeness and the lovely drawings by Fritz Kredel-all of which make it more appealing to less mature readers.
