KIRKUS REVIEW

A little game? Or for real! That's what Paul must decide after he finds out about his odd stepson's diary of death. Robert, thirteen, is home for Christmas with a friend, Stu, and the air is edgy with the boy's hatred of Paul. 'Tis the season to be wary with a houseful of loaded, guns and loaded questions and inuendo. And there's Stu's overheard promise never to tell that Robert ""killed Johnny Spence."" A nasty little melodrama, a deadly little game.
