KIRKUS REVIEW

A lengthy story to beguile young cat lovers tells how small Barry gives the fifth kitten in the litter in his cellar at home to the bad-tempered janitor at school. Barry knows he has to get rid of the kitten and he feels that a kitten is just what Mr. Grumpy needs to cheer him up. After some tight classroom situations, that should bring more than a ripple of laughter, Barry's proved right and relations between Grumpy and the kitten are solidified happily.
