THE TIME READER'S BOOK OF RECIPES

The chief thing that emerges from this book of recipes, tested and popular in the homes of many prominent readers of Time, is that the intelligent woman today has a practical as well as an imaginative approach to the art of cookery. There are numerous intriguing sounding recipes here, but there is no intention to make this an overall coverage. The order is unorthodox:- breads, desserts, fish, meat and casserole dishes, soups, salads, vegetables, appetizers and international dishes. A bit difficult to use, except for the complete cross-index.
