A BOY FOR YOU: A HORSE FOR ME

Jinny Lunden, a junior high school student, is delighted when her family moves from Cleveland to the suburbs. Here, perhaps, she will be able to keep a horse, the only object in the world of any importance to the enterprising Jinny. Jinny's convincing enthusiasm for animals is sustained throughout the book, but Jinny, herself, broadened by experience and a new found appreciation of the opposite sex, is able to redirect her interest to a more practical and altruistic end. Florence Musgrave, author of Robert E., concocts a highly likeable heroine constructed in equal parts of mischief, ingenuity, vulnerability and humanity, an ideal heroine for a story which pivots closely about the pre-adolescent's devotion to animals.
