A somewhat different type of travel guide, in that it is a handbook of basic information, and does not concern itself with where one goes or what one sees. It is directed primarily to travelers with slim pocketbooks, and the advice on how to travel, what to take, where to stay, and so on is keyed to this relatively low income group. An excellent basic book, however, for anyone planning a trip, particularly a first trip. Be it noted, however, that numerous other travel guides include the material here covered, and in addition give specific data on individual countries, which this does not provide.
