The basic idea is sound, -- that of following the events in the days of children's pets, left to their own devices, and doing it in pictures, on each section of an accordion book, with running captions below the pictures. The panorama reverses itself, so the child turns the last page and starts back again, rounding out the day. The difference in the three lies in the quality of the illustrations. I liked the kitten the best, the weisgard pictures have a warm, tender quality that makes one want to hug the kitten. The puppy and the rabbit both are drawn with somewhat human attributes in caricature.
