BRANNINGTON'S LEOPARD

In a word -- Forrest Webb doesn't waste any either -- exciting, a masculine action story stripped down to its man-and-the-leopard confrontation and the dust-dry terrain where it takes place. Bill Brannington, from the Midlands where he went down in the pit at the age of ten, is now trying to make it on his own in Africa and has just had a hit (columbite -- better than tin) when a leopard first kills one of his dogs, then his other one. Brannington's dogs are important to him -- much more than his wife of a few months ever was, much more than another man's woman promises to be, and he goes off to get the animal in what ends up as a knife versus claw kill. Sure to make the fur bristle and fly.
