KIRKUS REVIEW

For the home student this should be the answer to learning Castilian Spanish without the a of teacher of c. It is not a short cut book, for effort, practice and steady application are taken for granted, but the presentation is from pronunciation and vocabulary to grammar, rather than the reverse order, with, plenty of exercises and vetsat, in writing and in speaking. There are also vocabularies of specific Latin-American ies, where they differ from the Castilian. There is a Spanish English and English Spanish vocabulary; there is a special section on Portguese. A good job, both angle of content and format. An important item today.
