MYSTERY OF THE MAHTEB

An unusual adventure mystery story laid in Ethiopia in the sixth century. The young hero though of noble blood is born and brought up in an impoverished village in a country crushed and oppressed by tyrants. A mysterious message is given to him by his dying grand-father, so he goes on in quest of a long lost mahteb. His search is dangerous and calls for all his courage and cleverness, but at last he succeeds after suffering starvation and other horrors.
