Slight story, but it tells of an incident that is familiar to every little boy or girl who has a pet kitten, so it is in the five and six year old who isn't quite ready to read it . A very well behaved little kitten was chased by a visiting dog, and took ref in a big tree. And there she stayed, while the family had fish for dinner day, hoping to entire her with scraps. The SPCA chief to be concerned he said ""they always come down after three days -- never lost a set pet?"" And so it turned out. On the morning of the fourth day, there was a very hungry, very wet little kitten scratching to be in.
