KIRKUS REVIEW

One of the most successful of the series, particularly in the way the way the author has woven the life and customs and traditions of Chinese life into the connecting links between the skilful rendering of old legends and stories. A book that will interest children whose mechanical ability is not quite up to the vocabulary -- hence its inclusion under this heading.
