KIRKUS REVIEW

Screwball satire, which ends in somewhat serious vein, as Paul and Quintanilia (who combined on Intoxication Made Easy) conduct ""cinematic rambles through the Old Testament"" with an eye towards production until they run afoul of the prurient Hays Code. Samson and Delilah for Gable and Lana Turner; the stories of Jonah, of Joshua, of Ruth, of Noah, of Esther -- shades of amorality; and at the close, some serious remarks anent the industry. Risible -- in a rowdy way -- as you like it.
