KIRKUS REVIEW

Good story, if not strictly mystery, involving Patrick Abbott and his wife Jean as Pat outwits the San Francisco police in matters involving a crashed car cum corpse, ghostly footsteps and disappearances, and emotional cross currents generated by the dead man's widow, her brother whose wife is killed, the career woman with an eye for an accessible male, and a frightened boy. Reader on the inside makes this self-solving.
