KIRKUS REVIEW

Difficult to place for any age group, as it is timeless, and of great appeal to adults as to children. I should suggest including it under verse -- to be shared with children, and to be enjoyed for the fitness of the lovely wash drawings in that sort of blue that makes one feel the clear coldness of the Christmas night in the woods. The wild creatures are caught for a moment of shared beauty. Hand-set text. Aldren A Watson has done a picture for every few lines of the poem. Don't sidetrack as a juvenile -- it has a place on your poetry shelf, as a tiny gift book.
