Though perhaps a little short for an inquisitive nine or ten year old- this is a light, friendly narrative that takes Jean and David to the Hayden Planetarium where they partake in the now famous trip to the moon show. They weigh in, are told the basic principles of space suits, are jolted by the take off, lift huge rocks on the moon, come home when their oxygen ""runs short"", etc. Simplicity recommends it for the easy reading group, but there may be vocabulary difficulties. Pictures are by Paul Galdone who aptly illustrated Ruthven Todd's Space Cat and there is an application on the jacket to register with Whittlesey House future real space trips- a nice stunt for plus sales.
