SLEIGH BELLS FOR WINDY FOOT

Readers who met Toby and his pony Windy Foot, in Windy Foot at the County Fair will rejoice in a delightful Christmas story of the nice farm family and their friends, Tish and her father, who came for Christmas. Northern New England old fashioned country Christmas makes inevitably sentimental reading for anyone to whom that is Christmas as it should be- and Frances Frost, while giving it a comfortable lavishness, keeps it basically simple and human. There's less story focus than in the earlier book- and the children are almost too cooperative and good, but its a thoroughly wholesome, pleasant, likable crowd.
