KIRKUS REVIEW

A good adventure story with a background of the days of Babylon's supremacy, but with the story itself dealing more with the trade routes to Assyria and Egypt as a lad is sent to carry gold to his father and then to continue in his father's company taking a precious lapis l to the Pharaoh in Egypt. Ties in well with school study of early methods of trade and travel, but is not in the least prosy or text booky.
