KIRKUS REVIEW

Those who enjoyed A Little Night Music will love this. It is a slight book, the account of a Christmas Day during which a family all devoted to music, their hosts, and a motley collection of people went to the shore for a unique day. There was music, self-created, there was the sea, and food, and watching the gulls, random reminiscences, all spun around the experiments with ""stringed instruments by the sea"", as the sub title reads. Charmingly done
